The Parker’s Suite

parker suite

In 1863, brothers Benjamin Parker and William Parker discovered gold in a little gully about half a mile from the present town of Naseby, where it was reported they got “fifteen pennyweight out of three dishes of dirt”.

Within a couple of months, the canvas town of Parkers had a population of nearly two thousand and was a busy and exciting place to be. In a short while, it would become the thriving town of Naseby.

Our Parker’s Suite is part of the original gold miner’s cottage built during the early 1870s. It is made up of three delightful rooms – a spacious bedroom with a super king bed, which can be made into two single beds if preferred; a sitting room with a comfortable sofa/queen bed; a dressing area/powder room and a brand new ensuite bathroom with heated towel rail, demisting mirror and hair dryer. The Suite is furnished with an antique colonial kauri dressing table, wardrobe and washstand. You will find an iron and ironing board in your room.

Access the outdoor verandah and garden from your bedroom.
